scrambled channel s ex1000 sl

i have followed proceeders and put software on ex1000 sl and performed a power scan free channels are available but pay sites they say scrambled but the epg still comes up and tells me whats on the scrambled channels

Exactly what channels are you talking about ? how many free channels are you getting ?

pritty much just basic bb1 , bb2 itv chanel 4 , five every things scambled as if firmware hasnt worked

It does indeed sound as if the firmware hasn't worked, did you scan at the correct symbol rate ? click menu on the remote then click on config,then system information,what doews it say in there ? it should tell you under s/w version ...

its not got a usb port it has a null modem cable for data tranfer
, could you please send me a link to the correct software so i know thats defo correct . i made a symbol rate search so that should be correct shouldnt it
