Ex1100usb have i made the right choice?

Hi all i have been running a eurovox ex1000 sl for around a year with no problems.
I have just purchased an ex1100 usb for a second tv and after reading some posts i am wondering if i have made the right choice, my quetions are:
will i need to flash box or will software already be installed (from boxmagic)
and is this still the best firmware to use?

eurovox sl1000

hi i have bought a eurovox sl1000 just was wondering is it a good one im happy with it but a bit anoyed that i cant see a display on the front of the box does anyone have any recomendations thanks?

I've just applied the latest December firmware and finally I can get a working EPG (though it's not the best but it is functional) without any freezing or card slot in/out issues.

In other words... got it working just in time for Nagra 3!!!!

problems with channels

I have recently brought this unit and it is ok but the quite a few of the channels are still locked and the epg stays at the last programme it was on when you turn if off at night so when you come back on the epg is all wrong but ok for the cheapest box

when i bought a ex1100 3 weeks ago, everything is ok until last week, few of the channels are locked, i scan few times,but still same,anyone know what is the problem? thanks

stephen0429sdla, are the locked channels all on the same transponder? (435 or 499 or 515 etc) if so then goto main menu - install - TP List, then scroll up/down list to the transponder number and press blue button to scan that transponder only. This works for me, but once done, check your favourites, because if you have changes them manually the channels scanned may need to be recategorised in your favourites.
BTW you can find the transponder number by going to the locked channel and pressing info twice.
