The box cannot read the usb memory stick unless it is formatted to Fat32. You can download firmware via usb which is easiest or by a rs232 null modem cable via your pc. Read the red stickys in the eurovox forum section all info you need is there. good luck.

so the main firmware file must be formatted to file fat32 or the whole USB stick to fat 32 and just keep the firmware file as it is? there`s nothing written about file fat 32 just about cable rs232...I don`t want to spend money on other cables, if it`s possible I want to do it by usb...

if your still having problems send me a message im in bristol as well and have had a eurovox max working for over a year - fat 32 is simply the file format of any hard drive ( including usb drives ) - when you format you have a choice either ntfs or fat - any computer will format it for you - when i bought a rs232 cable it costs about ?2 delivered free.
