Cant connect receiver to laptop

Hi I have a Eurovox Max Blue and I am trying to flash it with latest software.

For some reason the laptop is not seeing the receiver, I have it connected via USB Nikkai Serial COnnector (from Maplin) and my serial cable plugged in

Any ideas ?

Have you made sure that all the connections are secure and the box is in standby?

Also which Windows OS are you trying the flash with?

IMO a RS232 Null Modem Cable (Female to Female 9 Pin) would be the ideal cable for the flash, you may stumble across endless issues with the USB adapter.
