Can please help me with the set up of my new eurovox pvr5000?

Why cant the thin come ready to use?

you will need a null modem cable.
you will also need latest firmware maybe the person you bought the box off can provide it.
Then you connect pc to box using null cable start up the software(firmware) then press download on it.wait till it says download successful disconnect box from pc.connect box to pc then you will have to scan for channels
