ex 1100 surround sound not working

afternoon all. updated last week to the 17/12 firmware. epg works instantly and perfectly but my surround sound stopped working. sound now only comes out of centre and sub woofer when input is through ex 1100, if i put a dvd in then surround works fine so its def a ex 1100 problem. anyone else had this and anyone managed to fix it?

Have you tried the green button which is for the audio??

yeh, it only gives me options of eng 811 or eng 831. if i select 831 it mutes itself after 5 seconds. if i select stereo on surround system then left and right speakers work fine.
