    Eurovox remote problem

    Hi All,

    I have a Eurovox Max which has been working fine since the April update but just recently has not been responding to the remote.

    Initially it would respond to a few button presses and stop then just one button press - now no response at all.

    I removed the front panel and resoldered the IF diode early in the saga but it made no difference. Have checked that the remote works via phone camera - all OK.

    Do I need a new front panel PCB? Is one even available? or does anyone know of a simple fix?

    Beginning to wish I'd kept my Dbox2 :-) Serves me right for going for looks over versatility and reliability. Funny - made the same mistake with the GF.

      i have heard that people hade remote control probs when flashed with wrong firmware e.g red max firmware on a blue max or visa versa not sure if that is the case with you though might be worth checking

          I though the gt loaders prevented you from loading the wrong firmware to these boxes? If you have a another vox kicking about or a mate has one worth swapping over the front panels just to ensure this is the problem. Only takes 5 minutes. If is the front panel i believe you can get them from aw satellites for about ?20.

              yep bugaloo41 you a right there with the new gt loaders you cannot load wrong firmware

                  Thanks for your thoughts guys - I know that I loaded the correct firmware in April and it has worked great since then. Only started playing up about a week ago. I can still change channels on the front panel but it is a pain.

                  I guess I need to find the replacement front panel and hope that works.

                          I did see that listing delboy but it clearly states it's for the clone version only so I assumed it would not be usable in my box which is genuine.
