    max v

    Hi Guys I have a Max v box it just died on Sunday box is dead changed power leads still dead friend of mine box went of on sunday also in Belfast here have orther friends here and there boxes still on any help with this would be great.

    open the box up mate and see if there are any capacitors blown on the psu board.

      Max v dead

      Replaced c14 box still dead cant see anything wrong anywere else in the box could anyone help please

        How dead is it ? by that I mean is there no glimmer of life at all ? do you get anything at all on the display ? or is it completely lifeless ? if its completely lifeless it might well be the power supply gone down because it does happen,you can get them on Ebay quite reasonably priced if you want to give it a try http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=e...+supply&_rdc=1

          Max v dead

          What i mean is threre is no life at all nothing on the display at all box completly dead

                I had a similar problem a few months ago with a max v and chose to spend ?13 on a powersupply from ebay - but watch you don't get one from a batch that needs forcing in the wrong way on the board - it worked for me but the powersupply has a tendancy to work loose. I think its a common thing for the Powersupply to die on the max v's.
