Eurovox 1100 Setup Advice

i recieved my box today, the guy who i bought it from online i spoke to on the phone and he said the latest firmware was on (sept) and it should be good to go after a quick scan. i did this, but nothing was found? i tried deep scan but same again? so i'm not sure what to do?

Its a pity that the bloke you bought it from didnt tell you over the phone that all eurovox boxes will be useless in next few weeks due to new encryption. In meantime have a look at red stickys at top of eurovox forum and have a look in downloads section, all instructions and firmware to flash your box can be found on this site.

if the box is failing to find the channels then you need to make sure you have a signal coming through the Line

1 way to check is to plug in the orignal VM box and see if the line is active and secondly

Have you plugged the cable into the back of the box in the correct port.

Hi. well he told me there was a possibility but in a bit of time. i bought it from ebay but spoke to him and he gave me instructions.

i took the cable out and plugged it back into my vm freeview box and that was fine, so seems to be this box?

when i spoke to him, he said it was updated with septembers firmware.

if i was to add something through usb, what do i do and how to do i do? and also, is an ipod ok to use for a usb? as you can add files on there.

extract the file using Winrar

get a Pen drive as I dont think you can use an Ipod due to the fact that your file system has to be FAT 32

So get a Pen drive

once you have extracted the file u should see a file name ''EX1100USB_091217_patch.abs''

Put that on the pen drive

switch off the box

stick the pen drive into the USB port of your box

switch it on

go to menu and your setup

and you should have the USB reconised

the rest you will need to figure as I have not used that box mate.

i have progress. did reset for channels, and then fast scan on 6887 and it's working, finding channels now

which means you were scanning on the wrong transponder

hi, i have a ex1100 also

i have a pen drive, formatted to fat32.
downloaded file from link (took me to 4shared)
(have winrar)

copied file from computer to pen drive.

plugged pen drive in to box, switched it on, usb found, but no file on there.

what now?
