eurovox ex1100 usb no channels

I have purchased a eurovox ex1100 but when i scan for channels it is not finding any............ signal strength is 28%........i live in leighton buzzard and am on virgin cable....... when i tried intalling flash from usb it went slowly up to 40 and then straight to 100 and shut eurovox down and restarted it.......is all this normal????? im new to all this technology and would appreciate any help...thanks in advance...

Just flashing the box alone won't give you all of the channels, you need to flash the box and assuming it works you then need to install the channel list for your area.

i have tried searching but it does not find any channels. do i have to find channels myself on net? im sorry im such a dumass but i thought it would find the channels on search

you need to flash your box with the latest firmware
then you need to powerscan on the correct symbolrate for your area

Aylesbury and Watford (which have switched to nagra3) are near you so I suspect that you might have been nagra threed as well
