Help Required setting up EX7000HD

I have received a EX7000HD today and was looking for help in setting it up...

I have downloaded the 120309 firmware onto a usb stick and popped it into the usb slot, but thats about it.... I don't know what to do next.... The screen shows 'scrambled channel' on the screen.

Can any kind sould help me.....Any assistance would be greatly appreciated....

FYI, I am based in Preston Lancs.

when you have downloaded the firmware click to open it, and rename the flash , flash.tbn, put this onto your memory pen then into the back of the box , switch the box off/on with the switch at the back , the box will then reboot ,on the led on the front of the box it should say now booting , open flash , extracting flash then count up from 0 to 100 then reboot , you may have to do a deep scan using the symbol rate for your area 6887 or 6952.

Hi m8, Don't bother buying any cable box now as VM are changing their encryption system to N3, which is not been hacked and will prob never will be. Very soon these boxes will all stop working and you will waste your money. The new encryption has already been rolled out in some areas of UK and all these boxes are now dead. Look into sat and C/S.
