You need to read up on Nagra 3 encryption which will render ALL cable boxes useless shortly,its already started. There is plenty on forum about it. Your ex7000 hd will only receive the hd channels that v media transmit via cable. There are only 7 and there will not be anymore until the new n3 encryption is in place. HD channels you can get are
BBC HD
Channel 4 HD
ESPN HD
FX HD
Living HD
National Geo HD
MTV HD
After nagra 3 hits it will only get channels 1 to 5. Hope you didnt pay a lot for it.
