      no sound

I need to change the audio PID which I presume is the ID for he
audio stream. The boxT allows you to see the Audio, video and PCR (PID's) under its edit menu and adjust if necessary. I need to make changes to these settings on my DigivoxT as I have lost sound on two or three channels.
      Any Ideas.
      Thanks,
      Philly

          DigivoxT sound prob.

          Thanks for that.
Factory default worked fine. I will re-install my channel plan now that I have sound back.
          Many thanks.

              DigivoxT sound prob.

              Hi Cactikid,
I am now looking for jam on both sides of the bread, (or give the devil an inch and he will take a yard).
Defaulting the box restores sound but when I re-install my original channel plan from my PC I loose sound again. Any way to
get around this as sorting out a new channel plan manually is a bit of a pain.

              Philly (in lazy mode).

if you have a channel file on pc its no good as settings have changed and dump files are no good, have you done another factory reset and rescan provider and emu to on.by moving any file on pc to trash that has a dump channel list you will find the one you will upload to pc sort out and then download ch.data file.

                what flavour jam

                  channel plan sort

Sorry if I appear silly but what do you mean by a 'dump' file.
My backround is in electronic repairs (allmost 30 years) long before PC's became the norm but I am still willing to learn.

when you scan your box you get get a load of channels in wrong place, never bothered me you can upload them to pc and use starview editor to put channels in your preference back to box by download.when you upload to pc i call it a dump file and if you had 20 boxes you could download the dump file to all boxes, saves you scanning all boxes, dump files dont last long if frequency changes any channels then file is binned in trash and start again.

                      digivox T channel plan.

                      Thanks.
I didn't realise that there was an starview editor available.
Can you point me in the right direction to download this.
It sounds like an easier task than doing it on the receiver first and then saving it to your PC.

                      Thanks again,
                      Philly.

                          digivox channel plan

                          Hi cactikid,
Thanks a lot for the info. I installed the starview editor and it works fine. My 10 year old sorted out a new channel plan by simply drag and drop. It works for both the BoxT and the digivox T, however the channel plans for both boxes are not interchangeable.
                          P.S.
If you ever experience intermittent trouble with these boxes during boot up look out for dry joints on IC U10. Have had this on two ocassions recently. You need a needle point soldering iron and a microscope. A steady hand is also an advantage.
Don't try this the morning after the night before.
