My ex5100 works but not ex5000!! HELP!!

Hi, i currently use a ex5100 which works fine but my friend has a ex5000 that is saying scrambled and all 'xtra' channels! I have tried to re-do the firmware and its the same. PLEASE HELP.. Also after i flash the box the channels are still there and usually they go! Thanks in advance

Been reading on the n3 jobby but im in Sheffield and my ex5100 works on the same connection in my room!!!

Hi m8, check to see if the emulation is turned on and you have the latest firmware.

menu>lang settings>OK>1968>emulation>enabled>green button>exit.

menu>config>system Info>OK.

Thanks, the firmware is version 2 from july 09, trying to find if this is the latest? Tried downloading from here but its just a VLC file that doesnt play!!! HELP!!

Does anyone have a link for the latest firmware????

I think i have the latest firmware, just checked! And the prcedure badapple has given doesnt work mate, it only sets the menu language!!

That worked, just did autosort myself. I know i have the latest firmware and it works on 2 other boxes, i think my pc's playin up as i kicked it in a few weeks back!! Thanks again!
