    EX1100 usb crashed PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

lost some channels recently so did factory reset and tried reinstalling firmware via USB (EX1100USB_091217 Firmware) from

    Digital Kaos - Downloads - EX1100USB_091217 Firmware

screen said "burnflash - do not power off"
progression bar went up to 100% then the box hung and my TV lost AV signal but the blue light was still on the Eurovox.
Waited a few minutes hoping it would come back but it didn't. Tried power button on remote but nothing happened and blue light stayed on. So I switched of at plug.
Now box has purple (red and blue) light on and it wont power up.

Please tell me that I haven't just fried it.......

Thanks Satsmo but think it could be more complicated than that.

I have a mac not PC and I was installing from a memorystick. I might be able to physically connect my mac to Eurovox but not sure i can run any software....

      Any other ideas please?

Without the hassle of getting a windows emulator for your mac, the only other option is to borrow a windoze pc. Or bring your box to someone that has one.

Pain I know but that is the best I can advise on your situation.

Good point. Think Ive got a PC emulator. will have a look. Otherwise I know someone with the EX1000 and he flashes his with his PC.

Many thanks for your help. Incidently, did I do something wrong? should i use the 1st version of FW posted or the Beta version next time? If I get it up and running i don't want to make same mistake again...

No you did not do anything wrong unless you took out the flash stick before it completed. This STB along with a few other boxes of this type suffer from this problem when flashing.

Luckily this particular box has a serial port you can use to recover from. The firmware link you used is fine, but I have uploaded the file again just in case, so download it again please and delete your previous download.
