What is Nagravision 3?

I have a eurovox ex1000sl box and i've just uploaded it with 24/02/09 firmware thinking i'd get my channels back and I haven't and was told that there won't be another firmware update due to nagravision 3 coming out so i'd like to kno what the hell it is an what I can do to get my channels working again.

Any help given will be appreciated

so after doing the scan, how many channels are listed, even if scrambled. also, can i ask what area you are in
