    new eurovox newbie

    hi i'm mark
    just got a eurovox ex 1000sl
    cant seem to get any channels i think i've got firmware 2.00 i try to scan for channels nothing comes up and when i press update channels it says no transponder to scan any ides peepo any1 got a step by step guide thanks

    YOU WILL NEED TO INSERT EITHER 6.887 OR 6.952 MATE INTO YOUR BOX B4 YOU SCAN THEY WILL BE ON ONE OF THEM FREQ DEPENDING ON AREA

        first of all ntl is 6887 tw is 6952 what 2 do find out what one it is .then press menu go to clear data press ok then set your default symbol rate ntl 6887 telewest 6952 decide which one is yours then go to instalation press auto scan once scan is complete press exit go to sky sports 1 it will tell you code being updated just wait .within 5 minutes all your channels should be on

              I would recommend using a desktop with a serial port, unless you are happy to go into the settings of your laptop to change the com settings if using usb to serial cable. Are you using the correct cable?? It should be null modem cable RS232.
