People still buy them on ebay, sell while you can.

      Hi

I was interested in doing this.
I signed up to the forum to have a look for step by step guide to buying a receiver, doing whatever to it and reaping the benefits.

So is there no point now with these new cards. I don't have one yet and heard nothing about it.... or will this not effect me and my V+Box on Tyneside?

      Cheers
      Stu

there's no point with these new cards coming out.there's little chance of the new encryption (N3 or nagra 3) being hacked. the only light at the end of tunnel is something called card sharing (this can not be dicussed on this site) but even that hasn't been confirmed yet and would only possibly work on boxes with ehternet ports.

          have a read here : http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-3-faq-105985/

anything you read saying 'N3 HACKED' will be a lie, any boxes claiming to have the fix for it - are a lie. there will always be people trying to shift on boxes at this time with exagerated claims. don't listen to them.

As I thought. Glad I looked this site up.

            Cheers!

agreed but at the right price. N1 and N2 were only hacked because of leaked info. The cost to break N3 from scatch isn't worth it when similar results can be obtained other ways. Plus the fact N3 has been around YEARS in much bigger countries with much bigger customer bases - just because little old VM has decided to use it, doesn't mean all of a sudden Neo is going to pop up and hack it so people who have put very little effort into it can watch their telly for free again

My POINT was just because i have my VM card does not mean you have to use it straight away, and see how long it will last. The only person who made a decent post to my question was Manic01.
