I dont know alot about starview or LAN, but in my opinion when Nag3 hits your area mothball your box in the hope that someone will crack it eventually, (a bit like waiting for Walt Disney to be defrosted but you never know your luck). Pay your subs if you dont wanna miss anything, besides your provider is probably due a bit back from us all by now.(footy season is nearly over so i am not going to up my sub till August).
The most important thing is to keep using this site, just come have a look around or a chat every now and again even if its in the off topic bits. Stay active, keep reading and posting, you can learn alot just by hanging out for a while, then if a miracle does happen you can be in on the action from the very start.

im lucky (touch wood my area hasnt been hit yet) but your right i plan on uping my sub with the sports start of next season. it works out less than a pound a day. cheaper than going to the pub to watch a game and a whole lot less headache in 2 ways. cheers mate. i hope the miracle does happen . keep the faith.

If your broadband speed is ok and you like the football , try looking up a few of the on-line tv stations which broadcast some games live . justin tv , iraqi goals , sopcast , myp2p to name a few .bit hit and miss at times but its free ! Keep your ear to the ground , there's some clever b***ards out there ..

you're right there are ways round it which means connecting the box to the web - the real risk there is that if the servers are tracked down, then the TV providers will easily be able to trace everyones IP address thats connected, so its too risky for me. I'm going with SKY until a crack has been found for cable.
