    Hi....problems with eurovox max....

Hi all... i have a bit of a problem with my eurovox max..it died and so i replaced the psu then jtagged it which bought it back to life...

anyway once i have flashed it and go on to search for channels the signal seems to be very jumpy, going from 0 percent to 7 percent to 21 percent etc... dont know wtf is going on with it as it wont find ANY channels whatsoever...i know my virgin feed is live as i can get qvc and a couple of others when plugges in to the TV

i have tried loading the red tsop on then flashing it with red firmware and likewise have tried to load the bluw tsop on to it then flash it with the blue firmware...

i am at a bit of a loss and do not know what to try next or if it is this Nagra 3 that has come in to play??? (surely it would still find the channels though?)

i am in the lincolnshire area and it is the first time i have tried to use the box in this house....if anybody could help or can point me in the direction of an updated firmware that i am missing out on....i would most appreciate it...

i have version 2.0 firmware on my box atm...

    Many thanks
    James

Hi everone just thought i would reply and let everyone know how i fixed this problem......in the hope of helping anyone else..

my box had completely died....to overcome this I had to buy a new psu (power supply board) from ebay....(?11.99)

once this was installed....still nothing....i then had to jtag the box with an already prepared jtag kit from ebay....(?8.50)

once this was done...it bought the box back to life....

once firmware was uploaded, a scan on the box bought nothing.....the reason was in the end that v****n had installed a one ended splitter in the box on the wall inside the house and for some reason this was stopping the eurovox getting any signal....once this was taken out and replaced with a two way splitter...all channels were found...

job done...cost 20 quid...but much cheaper than buying a new eurovox...

    hope this helps someone...

also...if anyone isnt sure which box they have...the eurovox max reds tuner (which is where the rf lead plugs in) takes up 8 slots if you look on the top of the box...whilst the blue takes up 12 slots....!
