EX7000 and Channel List Sorting

I downloaded the channel list off my EX7000 onto USB, put them on the computer and editted the .cdf to the order I wanted the channels.

When I uploaded the file to my eurovox all the channels were in the correct order, but they were all scrambled, so I rescanned the channels and turned off auto-sort, but none of the channels work.

Any ideas?

Anyone know how to use the .cdf but have the channels unscrambled, should they just continue to work or what?

factory reset then do a deep scan then take a look in downloads for a channel tbn for your area. ps a cdf is not for your box it's a tbn you need.

sorry i meant tbn, will i need to reinstall firmware after factory reset?

I wanted to use my own tbn as its basically channels 1-5, then the rest alphabetically, im sure the other tbns arent the same..

Nah it's not, I have all the channels working, just after downloading tbn they no longer work.

no you dont have to reflash my tbn in downloads is something like you are after if you are in glasgow pure try that

dont know m8 it could be something you are doing wrong how are you downloading it to the box this is what i do , put the tbn onto your memory pen then into the back of the box , press menu , scroll to usb>data transfer>ok highlight channel tbn then press the yellow btn tbn dn then it should download ok .

That's exactly what I'm doing mate, it orders the channels in the way I told the TBN to, but none of them work then, and the only way to get them to work is a rescan that auto sorts them

Is there anything specifically i need to do on the program i use on my computer to organise them?

you can sort them on the box by pressing menu>channel>favourite manager>red btn sort>blue btn move when you are happy where you have moved it to press ok . do a factory reset first then turn of the auto sort and do a deep scan.
