Can any one help with ex 5100 pvr that dnt record?

Hi everyone,
Can you please help me?
here is my story. I have bought a samsung 2.5" IDE HD for my ex5100 for recording tv. but after carefully reading on here and realise that 120GB waas the max required. I them used swissknith to partionate the drive. the drive work perfectly.
this is what happening.
1-turn off the ex5100
2- put the HDD(less than 160GB) in
3- turn on the ex5100
4-waite 1min then press record= "no recarding/ or HD full"
5-press stop="nothing happen"
6-press pvr= a massage "no HDD found or HDD full"

i m new to this. what should i do?

make sure drive is pushed all the way into the pvr slot. be aware that sometimes it can take up to 5 minutes for the recording to actually start so give it time. leave the recording on at all times to stop this happening in the future.
