    scrambled channels

    Hie folks,am a newbie here.I recently bought an eurovox ex 5000 box & now I can only get free view channels,the rest are scrambled.I have tried to connect my box to my pc using null cable moderm but my pc aint detecting the box so that I can upload or install the firmware.What shall I do?I mean how do I connect the box & my pc to enable me to upload the software. Thanx guys

    isnt it a normal serial cable to connect to eurovox?

      Whats do u mean isn't it a normal serial cable mate?Let me try to answer u if I got u right.The cable Iam using is the one that came with the eurovox ex5000 PVR.My knowledge on these things is very basic mate.I just dont know wat to do next

        no your right its a null modem cable are you using a program to install ie flash loader

          How come my pc wont detect the box then?

                No its 1.1A for the EX5000, the OP needs to set up their Comm Port in device manager. And also confirm that it is in fact a null modem cable and not a standard RS232 cable.
