I am a new member just wondered if anyone out there is having the same problem as me with my Eurovox Max V, All I see on the tv screen is ( codes updating )
Have Virgin zapped the box's again ?
Just had a look on the net at N3
Yes my area is being is beeing changed to N3, Will this mean that i will not be able to use my Eurovox again or just does it mean that I will have to wait for new flash
n3 or nag3=s nagravision3, it is a new encryption now being rolled out all over the uk by virgin media, there is no fix for it once it hits your area any none vm boxes will be useless, this encryption has been in use in other countries for a least 2 years and is still secure, the only way round it is by c/s, cardshare ( google for more info, cant be discussed on here ) c/s is complicated and risky.
this is how it goes, 1, you recieve new smart card from vm 2, channels re-organised ( u can get these back with a scan ) 3 about 2 weeks after you recieve smartcard channels start to disappear over 1-2 weeks and you cant get them back, end of.
Just sorted a friend in Neath with same prob, a deep scan got stuff back, with some names missing in the channel list tho they are basically there, just named as tv4 for example. she is well happy it is still working :-)
