channels showing but not coming up. is there a secret menu

my friend has just bought a eurovox off the carboot. the chap said it works fine. however he has just tuned it and channels 1-5 are working fine, but all the rest are not coming up these are showing in the menu though.

i have a starview the box super usb which 90 percent of the channels still work. but on the secret menu i can turn the emulator on to view ppv channels

is there a way of turning the emulator on on a eurovox.

what model box is it ? to rescan my box its menu-config- code 0000- then erase all channels then factory default, just before you press ok to scan after doing a factory default the symbol rate has to be 6.887 or 6.952 depends what area your in, but you can try both wont hurt anything.

hi. thanks for help guys. the model is eurovox max v dvb xc box 2008.

apparently when he gets the channels up in channel manager the free ones i.e bbc cbbc itv etc there all saying free and are coming up no problem. the ones for ss1 sky 1 etc are saying channels scrambled and when selected dont come up. any idea's with this

Hi m8 press menu and on language settings press ok this will bring up the language menu then type 1968 and enable the emulation. ps has it been flashed with the latest firmware.

hi mate i believe it has been flashed with the latest firmware. went into launguage setting but the 1968 didnt bring anything up.

what is the latest firmware version. still having a little trouble getting the channels.

this is the latest one Digital Kaos - Downloads - Eurovox Max V UFL Firmware (30/11/08) when you have flashed it go back to menu>ok>1968 and make sure the last 2 options are enabled and turn to sky sports to update.

HI there I've been getting the same problem firmware is the latest, I've enabled the two options, but I still a message asking to insert smart card. This problem has start since Virgin Media change the card for my VM box
