Updating firmware on Eurovox 1000sl

HI,

I have eurovox 1000sl box and it was working fine but now all the channels are scrambled. I have downloaded the firmware but don't know how to connect box with my laptop.

I have a rs232 to vga wire, when I connect the wire it changes the screen resolution but when I open the firmware and try to "DOWNLOAD or UPLOAD" It says "NO AVAILABLE COM PORTS".

Can anyone explain me the procedure how to connect the box and update it with the firmware? I have firmware "UFL EX1000 V 2.2".

Please help me as I am stuck.

Have the channels not been scrambled because your area has been switched to N3???

i have eurovox 1000sl i can see the menu but all sports and movie channels are coming up as scrambled channel!
