Hi, just bought my first digi box it's a eurovox ex1000 sl, anyone know if they are any good?

Also if someone could point me in the right direction on how to get channels on it that would really be appreciated. I'm afraid I really dont know what i'm doing!

sorry to let you know but the channels for these boxes and star...ws and disappearing by the day . vermin are right on top of it now. i have a star...w but nagra3 has put the boot into all these boxes.

All cable boxes will be off soon if they're not already. When this happens your box will be useless. I would try and return it and get ypour money back if you can.Check here m8 http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...tml#post682958

Evening all from scotland too, just joined, seems lots of interesting information on the site. Wish I had joined sooner!

Hello from the west coast to all and alike.

I wonder if is anyone on the site that can help me obtain a radio code for my volvo stereo, have several programs to get the code, but all of them seem to expect the stereo to have diodes however mine is an eeprom so dont see how can input the numbers to generate the code. No music in car just because changed the battery, the dealer charged me a tenner for the wrong code and am sick a searching net and finding programs that only do volvo stereos with diodes rather than eeprom.
If any one can help would be most grateful....

the stereo is a volvo sc 802 made by philips I believe.

what happens now mate? Is that the box useless or is there anyway I can scan for new channels?

Sure you can, just dont expect to much "free viewing" of paid for channels now.

Realistically you now have a free view box purely as Free to air is what most of the Dbox/Star will pick up now because of the N3 rollout.
Will pick up channels if your lucky, but dont expect it to last im afraid.

you will only get free to air channels!

BSkyB to remove Sky Sports News from Freeview, reports claim


BSkyB is set to remove Sky Sports News from Freeview and make it a pay-only channel in a bid to increase subscription revenues, reports claim.

The Guardian claims the satellite broadcaster has decided to replace the 24-hour sport channel with a new Sky 3+1 service later this year.

Having previously used the free channel to advertise other paid-for Sky services, it is claimed BSkyB has now decided to pull it from Freeview in a bid to drive up revenues from Sky subscriptions.

Sky Sports managing director Barney Francis is quoted as saying: "As part of a subscription service, customers can look forward to expanded coverage and the launch of Europe's first HD sports news service."

Reports suggest the greater investment in the service will see Sky Sports News cover a greater range of sports, as well as new facilities and equipment including outside broadcasting trucks.
