    Eurovox Max v2008

    Trying to fix friends Eurovox V2008 have loaded latest files box can scan. Modulator picks up frequencies but at end of scan when you try to view channels by exiting out of menu tv says channel not available even BBC1.

    Any clues or suggestions will be appreciated.

      Have you updated channels after powerscan. Take a look at the scanning guide here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...settings-9789/

          Thanks for prompt response, yes have updated channels, but no joy.

          Have tried same with older eurovox with same connections and cables and seems to work fine but the six month old MAXV has given up all of a sudden.
          Signal and quality of strength about 80%

          Any other ideas?

              Apologies just in but have to leave shortly. Are you using the latest firmware as you say, (18/04/08), it will say that for SW version in Menu - Config - System info. Just check it.

              If you are and you still cannot get all channels:

              - Press menu, press OK, type 1968 on remote, check emulation is on.
              - After that you will see default key, press that.
              - Exit out to Sly Sports and see if it will update.

              After that and you are still having problems. Take the CDF from the old box and transfer it to the Max V. There is a guide on how to do that here Digital Kaos - Downloads - Eurovox CDF Guide

                  Yes checked all of above but message on screen still says service not available. Also note a different box on same cable works fine.

                  Just to recap have loaded new s/ware, cdf, also tried s/ware without favourites, emmulator is enabled, also tried update channels, tried factory reset, changed date and time, used variable attenuator with strength and signal at about 80%. scan picks up frequencies but final message says
                  Service Not Available. Please someone out there must have experienced this prob. HELP

                      If you cannot even get FTA it could be a tuner issue. Have you tried scanning at both 6887 and 6952 SRs? Have you tried it elsewhere?

                          Thanks satsmo, yes have tried different house and tried scanning 6887 and 6952 but no luck

                              YES IM NEW BUT I WAS TOLD THAT I HAD TO DELETE ALL DATA AND RESCAN
