hi all..(thats me being nice)

with me being new 2 this game, as in trying to install firmware 4 a eurovox ex5000 pvr i am having great difficulty in doing so.. so far i have connected the box 2 my pc using a usb serial converter and a null lead, i have turned on the box to standby(i have also tryed this with the box turned on). i now click on 2 the downloaded software(ufl_ex5000 v1.1)and run the program, i then click on the download button and all what happens is that it keeps on jumping from com1 to com3, i then click on the start button and now the dam thing is saying the receiver was not detected... what the f**k am i doing wrong?? cauz the god thing is gonna b thrown out the window soon(me being stressed) can some1 help me please? all the help needed.. thanx.

excellent, done it, thanx a lot m8, after all that it a doddle 2 install.. the only problem I'm avin now is that its not recognising the 120gb hard drive what came with it Ive tried installing it both ways and still no hope?? any advise.

What model of drive is it, did it come with the box?

it came with the box! where would i find the model it came in a relatively clear sealed bad.

that's me all sorted now thanx 2 satsmo cheers m8.. the only problem now is that the box is not recognizing the 120gb hard drive that came with the box. can any1 help?

If it came with the box it should be fine. Probably Western Digital or Seagate. You just insert it into the HDD slot, pushing firmly but not too firmly.
