EX 5100 in Cardiff with Virgin Media

Hi all,

Thinking of getting a EX5100 box to work on my Virgin Media Subscription in Cardiff

Out of the box, do i need to do anything to the 5100 or is it a case of subbing it in for my current vm box and away to go.

complete newbie on this, anyone who can point me to a good relevant post/ guide/ or fancies taking 5 minutes to write back will be much appreciated.

remember, total newbie but with a good tech level. just never hacked tv streams before

dont bother m8, virgin are rolling out their new encryption nagravision3 and theres no fix/crack etc for it, in other words its secure and you WONT get any free channels.

Hi m8, welcome to DK,
Please dont waste your time and money buying this cable box now, as its too late.
A new secure encryption(nagra3) is being rolled out all over the UK which is killing off all the boxes.
There is no hacked firmware for the new encryption.
Best to look into a C/S system now.
