    on some of my channels after doing a recent update scan i now get "insert smart card" it appears i have now lost these channels any ideas..thanx

      It is probably the start of nagra 3-vermin's new encryption,What area do you live in have have you received a new vermin card?
      If it is nagra 3,there is no fix for this.

          I live in swinton manchester recieved a new card ( if thats what u mean from virgin 2 months ago) been working fine upto me doing an update on my box

              If you received a new card its nagra 3 that is been rolled out in your area,its the end of free TV I'm afraid.
