Eurovox boxs ??? any need to be chpped ??

Im looking at getting a box for obvious reasons .. up yours mr murdock

and ive been told i would need to get it chipped to get certain sports channels is this true ?? or is it down to software i download to the box ??

thats what i was thining .. so buy one new .,, few leads and new firmware and id be ready to go ?? is that right be nice to sort something out for hatton fight

oh also we havent had cable here for years .. so got me old telewest box out to try the line to see it it still works ... plugged it in and after 1 min or 2 it came up with the virgin logos and now get the freeview channels.. so do i need to subscibe to a basic package or will the eurovox work without

Yes more or less,,,, if its eurovox you want....
and if line is live it will work,, but i do usually personally recommend people get a min subscription, for more than one reason.

it will work fine without. However its best to get the minimum subscription ( TV ?5 per month?) so then atleast your paying for your connection and VM can't just come round and cut your cable (has been known to happen to people with no sub)

I have a Kryptview. Download a software patch, scan the network, and before you can say "jack me off robinson" you are watching all!!!

As you have a signal and free view, the answer to your question is you would get it all now.

No chips or messing around with the inards. You would need a PC or laptop, a null modem cable, then flash, or load the box, with a freely available software patch.

I get slysport 1 to 3 and extra, sports news, sultana 1 and 2 and news.

plus all the club ones, mutv etc.

God knows also ~~~~ etc, though have deleted that

Just had a bit of a look around and see theres quite a few versions about
blue06,red07,black08 and ex5000 as i dont want to record im looking at the eurovox max v .... seen on abay they going at around ?100 .. is this about right anyone recomend a good reputable place to purchase as ive had me fingers burnt a few times with ebay purchases

As I say, I have a Kryptview, but I imagine its all ablut the same.

Can get one for around ?80.

I wouldnt buy from ebay, but thats just me. Seems Virgin like to clamp down on fleabay from time to time (ie, no Kryptviews on there), and may even get your addy from there and send a threatning letter.

Do not buy second hand from fleabay, even if you think you are getting a bargain. I have an expensive doorstop. Buy new with 12 month gaurentee.

if it is eurovox you want the current box is the ex1000sl this is a slim version of the max v which is now discontinued and currently no clones cost between ?85-?95 depending where you buy, ebay have removed all listings
