    ex5000pvr will not record

    hi there,my new eurovox ex5000pvr will not record,keeps displaying no hard drive installed when it clearly is.can anyone advise?

    Im having same problem, got 2 box's works fine on one wont on other.

      i e mailed company who sold me the box,they said it is a common problem and they are waiting for an updated version of the firmware to be released.anyone no if this is true?or anyone having same problem?

            Have you tried to make a recording or pause live TV. Also make sure the HDD is pushed all the way home.

            Yes its a common problem but it is usually one of the above two that solves it.

              I phoned the Person i got it off and he swapped it. He didnt know what was wrong.

                    Hi chaps don't want to hijack the thread but Im having all sorts of problems with the recording facility on this box.

                    The box itself is fine but the 1 thing that did record ok using the timer facility sometimes goes missing on the PVR and other times its there.

                    Its sometimes recorded and a load of gobbledygook comes up as the name of the recorded program, others its recorded and froze the picture but you can hear the sound, and at other times it just says "No HDD installed or drive is full.

                    I have tried switching box off and re-seating the drive several times making sure that its fully pushed in, so now Im just thinking that the HDD is faulty and have got in touch with the supplier. Will let you know what they say.
