read with interest all the doom of n3... is it not possible to do something of a rescue on these hd boxes. in their original set up(before being flashed with updated firmware) you were as i understand it, meant to connect up to a dish and presto you had your free to air hd channels like bbc hd, plus freeview. is it not possible to get hold of the original software and factory reset and instal original software. at least that way it becomes a bit more useful than a std freeview box.

got you so that is only for cable. i had been looking to buy a humax box with free to air hd but saw everyone throwing euroboxes away and thought i might bag a bargain. oh well. off to tesco for a humax or similar
