About 10 days ago I purchased a Eurovox ex5000pvr from Maxking. Got it working as per the tutorials and stuff but have had numerous problems with the box itself.
I switch it on from standby and there is often a delay or around 45 seconds before anything happens, just a blank screen. If I switch it off at the rear and re boot it works ok again. Sometimes when I press the record or pause button on the remote there is a delay of some 60 seconds before the "please wait" message disapears. By then I have often missed a lot of viewing.
I dont think this unit travelled well as a couple of the rf connections on the rear are slightly squashed but as I do not use them I did not worry too much.
I did email Maxking (the email on the invoice) but to date have not been extended the courtesy of a reply. I thought these people were ok to deal with?
I'm not sure if the problem lies with the hard drive and will unplug it for a while and see if it cures the start up problem.
Any thoughts on this??
