flashing maxv

after flashing my 1000sl this morning with great success[many thanks again to all involved]i volunteered to flash my mates maxv i downloaded latest firmware and loaded it to his box,all seemed to work as it should until i connected to tv just to check it,it now just says updating codes.is there something i should be doing with a max v that i didnt do with 1000sl?would i have to connect it to his tv for it to work?cheers and thanks again

just done a max v box. updated the firmware
Had to do a (power scan) fast install to get the channels, but working fine

how did you flash it

Is it the same way of flashing as before for the max v ?
Also can you still save your cdf file & download it back onto the box when flashed ?

i saved the channels when flashing so didnt think i would have to scan for them again,this worked on 1000sl no problems.maybe i will try power scan, cheers

how did you flash it

flashed it the same way i did the 1000sl but uses the firmware for maxv.seemed to be pretty much the same procedure,it said download complete,was only when i connected it to tv i got the updating codes.

just as i was searching through some of the posts lo and behold the maxv burst into glorious technicolor.so for those of you having the same problem just leave it for 15 mins or so.many many thanks for all the great help and advice.a great forum with some really sound peeps .cheers.
