just wondering if i did it right ?

hi guys
as i am new to this got a eurovox ex5000 pvr
was wondering if i did everything right or did i go around the block to get to the same place if you know wot i mean
saw the firmware was out so linked up pc to box
cleared data from box then downloaded firmware, did powerscan, got channels but then had to sort them,(takes ages )
all sorted
my area had another roll today and i was buzzing coz my boxed updated fine
did i need to do all i did or is there a simpler way
like i said i am totally new to this

If I have picked you up correct m8,then IF your box wasnt working before last keys changes then it wouldnt have worked after the latest key changes,Its because you have updated your box with the new AU file that enables your box to autoupdate itself,without the need for manually entering the keys...That answer your question,or I have I just went the long way for a shortcut

yeh i got it sorted ok but was wondering if i went the long way round or if there was a quicker and easier way to do it. as my mate is wanting me to sort their box

Nah m8,you will need to progam his box the same as yours.Afraid there aint no other way other than manual input,which is a pain in the a$$
