    Understanding what clones are?

    Hi...

I have had my eurovox max box for around 2 years and I have been able to flash firmware to it without a problem when there have been issues. I was looking at the information held here in this forum regarding the proper identification of a clone box and mine seems to tick all the boxes of a clone. Can somebody tell me what is the issues relating to clones...to improve my understanding.

    thanks in earnest.

(I did a feeble search of the forum and couldnt find anything..sorry if its already posted)

Steve - if you have updated in the past then chances are you do not have a clone. Basically the clones 'bricked' on new software up dates i.e. they stopped working. They can be brought back to life by j-tagging them.
