    scanning single channels

is it possible to scan single channels on a eurovox ex5000. I have just completed a full 'deep' scan on my box and the only channel that i can see is missing is E4. is there a way to scan in this missing channel without doing another full scan??

    Here is what I tried

Newbie myself but just added a missing n*l channel.

Here is what i did -

    menu
    installation -> user installation
    code 0000
scroll down to find your current highest channel number (note it)
    select green for channel edit
    select red for add
    select INFO (edit name)
enter next highest channel number using on screen pad (eg 0037) and save it
enter frequency 290.00 (this is the frequency my E4 is on - yours may be different, try it and see, else search for 'e4 frequency' on internet)
enter symbol rate you used for deep scan
    select OK to save
    EXIT to channel list
select OK on new channel added - a tick will appear
    select blue for manual scan

you may get a few other channels on this frequency but you should get E4

good luck, it worked for me!

Dont have one of these boxes but is there not a simple manual scan option? go to the channel that is showing a black screen, press menu, installation and see if you can locate a manual scan option = press ok (or follow on screen instructions) and that should get it back.
