how i got setanta back on my eurovox max v

now then everyone,i lost my setanta chanels when i used the firmware fix wen we went down but gained sky sports news,sky1 ect,so i got the latest auto sort fix and the latest 8% singal boost ,put them on my desk top and conected my eurovox max v to my pc with the cable,i then flashed it with the 8%fix and then again with the auto sort,i then done a new fast channel scan and all the setanta sports are back were they should be,but ive lost sky sports news again,im sure if i re scan in deep mode when i have the time tomorow i will get sky news ect back,but for now im happy with all the satantas up and running again,i would have deep scanned 2night but it takes a while and i want to watch the boxing on box office channel,i hope this heps some of you with the setanta problem out, the big fella

try this m8 ...menu/installation/user installation/press red button to update channels

ello bud i did try that but never found nowt new,like i say im happy with setanta back for now i have sky sports news on my panasonic dvd recorder ,so will just do a deep scan 2mora to find it and maybe a few more,if anyone duz the same as i did but a full deep scan at the end i think everything will back as normal.like i said i would of done the deep scan but it says it takes 2 hours and the boxing as just started now.

i got setanta back but it keeps breakin up ive put on the 8%signal booster but that seems 2 have made it worse ive learned that my street has a poor signal any ideas

davie have you tried a booster. the slx out of argos normally works well ?7 or the konig yellow brick from fleabay.

hi bugaloo ive not tried a booster yet another dk poster said that i mite need a vhf/uhf 10db in-line satellite attenuator have u heard of this im sick of channel breakup .

an attenuator weakens the signal a booster boosts it obviously. too strong a signal can cause as much bother as a weak one. i have a couple of spare 12db could have gave you one at the match today if you attended?

if you buy the booster from argos and it doesnt work you can take it back. you can buy an attenuator from maplins, b&q the latter are cheaper.

reflashed about ten times now it is only went funny after i installed the latest firmware

after doin a deep scan i found more chanels but lost the ppv chanels so i then updated chanels and lost ppv and sky sports 1 ive done a normal fast scan now and got ppv and sky sports 1 back i still have setanta aswell so im gunna leave it as it is untill someone comes up with a propa fix to get all the chanels like befor we all got turned off.

i have all the chanels working on my eurovox ex5000 but when you try to watch setanta is doesnt display properly and appears to have a bad signal, any ideas

Davie, you managed to sort this 8% problem yet? was it the attenuator or booster you needed?

tried the attenuator didnt work i got the wrong signal booster so that is the next thing i will try but ive been lookin at oher posts & it seems 2 be a problem with the max v 2008 box & the new firmware.
