    Eurovox EX1000SL Strange problem ?

Hi all, 3 people have come to me too see if I can update there boxes for them,

I have the DarX file for them and go through all the usuall ways on flashing with the rs232 cable, and it does what I assume is normal.

    Says Ver 2.0 detected
I click download and it says resetting system then it starts to install,
at the end it restarts the box and says downloading is complete.

I unplug the box and reconnect to tv, but it just keeps saying "please wait code updating" and does nothing else.

If I go into system info, it says the previous ver which looks like it was created by someone called KUDO

Can anyone talk me through a fix for this.

I have tried a factory reset and taking the lid off and pressing the reset tactile switch, but I just can't get it to update.

    HELP ??????????

OK , if anyone else has the same problem here is the fix

Take out the 3 philips screws, open the box and while the box is still switched on press the tactile button in the middle of the mainboard.

Then update the firmware with the latest fix,
then power reconnect the box to the TV and go to installation, do a factory reset which will delete all your channels,
then press ok to do a FAST INSTALL, just leave it till it's finished and the first program comes on.

wait another 2 mins and your done

    firmware will be fully updated.

    good luck

Easy, coz while I was waiting I opened it and found a button and when you find a button you press it and see if it goes bang !

Then you reset things then try again.

So that's what I did and it works, so I thought I would let everyone know how to do it and answered my own post, rather than just leave the forum and not help out...

Not that I get any thanks for it....

Your solution was posted here quite a few times.

                  Hi Satsmo,

I probably was, but this forum is so big thats the threads go on and on, and are easy lost. or hard to find, I did read loads of stuff before posting but when you got 20,40, 60 pages worth of stuff, it's gets hard, especialy if your like me and can't read too fast.

Anyway, at least all the posting means the forum itself is doing well

Thank you so much for this fix.it is exactly what happened to me when i tried to update my son's box, I thought i had broken it that was two days ago and ive been searching for a solution on this site for hours and hours and like you said there are so many pages to read through , but hopefully this will sort it but i must say i'm a bit nervous about taking the top of and pressing a button. BANG oh dear well i'll have to give it a go.
