eurovox max v black 2008 is dead

can someone help me please with my dead eurovox

all i seem to get is the standby light .. nothing else ..

ive been told to use a jtag lead . can someone send me to a link on how to do this or even if they know how to do it themselves ..

a step by step would be very helpfull ..

also im trying to work out if my eurovox is a clone . i have 2 euroxes 2008 . .ive opend them up an they seem to look differant inside

Better off getting one from Mash at TMC Tailor-Made Circuits , I have had problems with the one you linked to.

But before you do that, replace the C14 capacitor on the PSU board with a 16V 1000uf cap, 50p from Maplins as that could be your problem.

yo .. ive looked on mine . ive ive found 6.3 1000uf

ive got a spare psu wich has a 16v 1000uf cap

so should i replace the 6.3 with the 16v ??

and what do u think of this 1 ?

Yes regards the cap swap and that is a TMC Jtag kit in the link.

nah i dont get green lights .. i get 1 red light . .thats it ..

i havent tried the method said above yet. . im in the middle of buying the items i need then ill try it .. aside from the 16v 1000 ..i have that

my box has a red light and two green dots and i have tried another power board out of a working box and it still does the same any ideas

you need to jtag it mate,
Get a jtag from TMC and get the 2008 tsop from the downloads
Follow the intructions

got a jtag off ebay the one without the crock clip and i cant get it to conect to th ev any ideas should i buy the one with the crock clip
