Can't connect to PC? Try this...

When I bought my Eurovaox Max V it came with a serial cable which I wrongly assumed was a NULL modem cable.... being a sparky I got the NULL modem wiring diagram off web, checked pin out of cable which of course turned out to be a normal pc serial cable... so I cut the cable in the middle and made it inot said NULL modem cable.

Worth a try if you're going round in circles trying to upload firmware!!!

i bought a null modem cable but i am still having connection trouble, i cant get the computer pick up the box. i have an ex 5000 pvr.

If you're using a laptop check what com port has been allocated.

Go into device driver, then into ports and look at the properties of your usb/rs232 cable connection. If its something like com12 or com11, change it to Com 1,2,3 or 4.

Reconnect and try again.
