replay lite - red led on

a replay lite I have seems to have a red led on

went thru the usual procedure trying to upload the boot loader first but that fails

can you get a close replay lite ?

any one else suggests another method

Take us through exactly what your doing mate..... Make sure you've got your COM port set up correctly. The STB link should recognise the box when you hit the "Set up comm" button....

it doesnt recognise the box when I hit the set up comm

after reading, it says the red led on is due to corrupt boot loader

so tried to upload bootloader as per instructions here

Webs.com has been shut down on the 31st of August 2023. Find out what that means for your site and how to move it to another provider.

      that fails

it does go to green when I start it off uploading the bootloader but within a second back to red.

I've never encountered that problem before mate. You are setting up the communication with the box switched OFF to begin with? and using the correct firmware 742A? I'd keep trying as per the guide, I'm sure it'll go eventually. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Connect the Null modem lead from your box to your PC.

Make sure it's a null modem lead.

Open up the Stblink and select "Run"

                DON'T do the Setup Comm.

Untick the "Maintain User Data" box.

Ignore the error message you will receive.

Select "Upgrade Software" and get the 742A file.

It will then start to transfer to you box.

When your PC reads "Transfer Complete" WAIT another couple of minutes before unplugging.

When the files are being transferred from your PC to the box, the led on the box will be flashing at this speed

DON'T unplug the box until until you see it flashing at this speed

When the flash is complete, unplug the box, null modem lead and exit the Stblink.

Power up the box again and WAIT until the light on the front goes Green.

Then do the above with the 910 file.

                Then do your Auto Search.
