hi all.was hoping someone would be able to direct me in purchasing a cheap twin tuner box.. all over a sudden cant seem to find one on the internet? was on ebay buh no longer is.. anyone can help.. would be greatly apreciated thankyou

You are right, no twins about ATM. The Starview twin tuner has ceased production and the new release is a single with USB.

A bit like asking a car manufacturer why they have ceased production and brought out a new model.
They were a good box in my opinion and its a shame they don't still do a twin tuner version. It had a couple of small niggly problems like a slow EPG but who needs super fast EPG speeds, I managed with it and a few people had recording problems many due to the fact that most with problems had so many splitters running boxes all over the house that the Starviews second tuner was starved of a decent signal. Mine was great although I have gone dreambox/linux now so don't have the S/V PVR. If you can find a second hand one, go for it.
