Just to be clear, do I only need to reverse the cables on one end of the cable or both ends?

just one side them 2 cables if you have your manual its at the back of it

if he has flashed krypts with that cable it is a working one and i would leave it,query is the file compressed and needs to be extracted first before you load it into the downloader 10.is the com number the same as when you flashed the others.

The file is un-compressed.

The COM number is different though. When flashing the Krypts I was using COM6 but the Downloader10 only goes up to COM4 so I had to change it.

Could this be my problem?

By the way I modified the cable and that didn't work either.

Sorry if that didnt help wayne it just sounds a familar problem i had.

yes to me it sounds like a com port option,maybe check pc settings for ports.
