Free NTL from some fella.

Basically my girlfriends getting a new house and this fella she knows from round her area gets everybody free internet and free tele.

I asked what he does? As obviously i don't believe it , turns out he comes round your house, takes a look at the box at the wall and your box, comes back and magically makes all the channels appear - even when you have no subscription?

Apparently a few people know the lad and he's done it to a few houses, i just can't believe it for some reason until i see it done.
I'll be asking him a few questions.

Anybody have any clue what the hells going on? He's a Virgin engineer too.

More than likely he's getting somebody he knows at VM central to enable 'fake' or employee accounts. Chances are it will all be caught at the next audit so I would tend to stay well clear from such a scam !

I'm not quite sure pal, the girlfriend knows him personally so it could end up being a freebie.

It is posible to get free tv on an unsubscribed box.. When i worked for vm i could hit a box that was on their system and activate the card.. But... it wasnt worth it.. so i used to get a mate in the office to activate the cards, and then send the deactivation hit 30 seconds later.. this would give me time to unplug the box and get the bk/ird..

In the end it turned out they did audits every few months.. subsequently he was sacked.. never felt guilty as i was small time to him.. he was doing 100's a week for traders ..

So, if he is doing it this way he will get caught..
