locked eurovox
My friend has a eurovox blue box the remote control will not work on it although there is nothing wrong with the remote it works on mine the only thing that can be done is to change from manual to standbye and back we have tried doing it manually on the box same thing the box has been flashed with a blue box loader and it worked fine for 3 days now he has a number in the display 2068 I was wondering if this was some kind of error code. Can these boxes somehow be locked by clicking on the wrong thing in the menu?? I hope someone can help. Thanks. We malso tried flashing with clone loader although I dont think it is a clone I can see eight thingies through the slots.

on a clone blue box..get a touch and look at the tranistors through the air vents on the left....if there BLACK its a clone box...as ive found out.....originals have GREEN tranistors..........
ive copied and pasted the info i used and it worked for me.....
your box may be a clone. BEFORE YOU DO THIS FLASH WITH F/WARE FROM APRIL 08 .TO GET THE F/WARE D/LOAD BIGMAQ TOOLBAR AND CLICK ON FILES AND FIXES, YOU WANT THE BLUE BOX FLASH FROM 21/04/08.heres what u do take out the scart lead form ur eurovox and tv
connect a coxial cable from the back of ur eurovox to ur tv (a coxial cable is the one u use to connect ur vcr to ur tv )
ok now u have ur eurovox connected to the tv by coxial cable only have ur eurovox on and not in standby but on
now using ur tv remote scan the channels on ur tv do an automatic scan of channels on ur tv u should get to a screen asking for a code the code using ur eurovox remote now is either 0000 or master code 1004
now u will press menu>goto config>cleardata>clear channels>factory default ?choose correct symbol rate then power scan.once your box is back on flash it with the blue box clonesafe f/ware. -
If it's a clone then the 21/04/08 firmware IS NOT clone safe, I would not flash it with that!!!Comment

I dont know what a coaxial cable is I use a scart to connect my vcr to my tv, I cant see what difference a coaxial cable will make. Ive looked through the air vents I cant see nothing. Thanks for trying to help I have to be able to access the menu before I can do anything to fix this.Comment
