    TechnoTrend C-1501

Hi guys, got this pci card which I installed on the p.c. but I'm having a no luck when it comes to scanning for channels. I've tried scanning on the "TT viewer" software which comes with the card but the symbol rates to scan are 6900, 6111, 6875 and they come up with nothing. The reason I mention the symbol rates is because I noticed from my DDigital box that the symbol rate on that is 6.952 so I tried scanning at 6952 but still no joy.

Now, although I said it doesn't come up with any channels when scanning, it does have a channel list with just over 4000 channels but I think these maybe just a default list with the software. When I try to click on one of these channels it says "All capable DVB Adaptors are busy. No free device has been found!". Don't know exactly if this info helps.

If anybody has any info on how to get this thing up and running I'd greatly appreciate it.

Can you not just give us some info on here about where I'm going wrong - don't do msn - that way anyone else in the same boat can get some help too ?

dont use the software that comes with it.

use progdvb (im currently messing with dvb dream that looks nicer, but ive got progdvb running so far) and install it, run it once then quit.

download vplug, install into progdvb's plugin folder

you need softcam.key and v_keys. (ive attached) put them in the plugins folder too

goto transponders\cabfiles in progdvb's folder and overwrite all.list with one attached too.

then goto settings -> device list and goto properties on the techno card and change to china.

then goto channel list -> channel search and let it scan, should find you plenty of channels.

im still missing sky one and couple of others, but got most of the stuff.

i think that should get you running, i suggested msn as im still figuring it out myself (i found this post while trying to find more transponders so i can get sky one), so i dont really want to post a tutorial until ive figured it all out.

dvb dream is alot more stable and includes the transponder files (did for my area at least)

all you do is install vplug into plugins folder and copy softcam.key and v_keys.db into the plugins folder with it.

do a scan and you should be good to go from what ive found so far... still not sky one tho.

Just a quick update - downloaded dvb dream rather than progdvb (cause it was free) and got channels on first scan - only thing is they're locked ! Any ideas ?

Ok another quick update for anybody else stuck with this pci card - Don't use the supplied software apart from the drivers when windows finds new hardware. Download DVB Dream and vPlug (both free) and the vplugkeys.rar file above. Extract vPlug files and vplugkeys.rar into DVB Dream plugin folder (I used 7-Zip cause it's also free !). Run DVB Dream and do a scan - I got all channels using the transponders supplied with the program (including sky1).

Yes, download vplugkeys.rar file on page 1 and extract files into DVB Dream plugin folder.

Hi guys, ok since the key change I have no pictures through the pc. I'm using 'keymaster' for my digibox updates but get the felling it's not so simple for the pci card ! I'm still using DVD Dream but can anyone help with where I can get updates and what files need updated ?

Thanks in advance for any help.
