putting cable in another room

hi all i have an old telewest atlantic explorer cable box and i was wondering if i could put it in another room i have an active service coming into the house.?

yes you can use a splitter and run a cable into your room but i am sure you will only get fta channels and did you have that box working b4 as large parts of glasgow is pure not sure about telewest its been a long time.

yea the box was working before virgin took over but i know someone else who has the same box and his is working with virgin fine
